Grouse Hunts

We also offer do-it-yourself grouse hunting. The North Maine Woods are full of grouse (locally known as partridge) and daily limits of 4 are extremely common. This vast area is made up of commercial timberlands which produce prime habitat for this coveted gamebird. Bird dogs are not neccessary, but can increase the enjoyment of this hunt. Thousands of acres are available to you to explore and the hunting is unbeatable. This hunt includes room and board, and we will point you in the right direction to find birds.

The grouse densities in this area are extremely high, so if you have never grouse hunted in Maine before then I recommend that you give us a try, you won't be sorry!
