Bear - Bait Hunts

Buck Stop Camps specializes in trophy bear hunting in Northern Maine. Our hunts are over well established active bait sites in two seperate areas of North Maine Woods. We start baiting our sites 30 days prior to the hunting season, which is the earliest allowed by law in Maine. We word hard baiting our sites prior to hunting season and you can be assured that our baits are extremely ACTIVE!

We limit the number of hunters that we have during bait season to around 20 per week so that we are able to give you the service and attention you deserve. We run approximately 80 different bait sites, so that allows us to be flexible and move hunters to other stands if needed. All guided hunts include room and board, three meals a day, transportation to and from bait sites, and skinning, quartering and freezing your bear.

Since being in business we've had several larger than average kills over bait, and as mentioned, the majority of our business comes from repeat clients. Our goal is to give you a clean place to stay, family style meals, a hunt you will remember and good clean fun. Harvesting a bear is just the icing on the cake!
